Defence members who are transitioning out of the Australian Defence Force are at the most challenging stage of their Defence journey, especially if it is abrupt or the circumstances are outside of their control, such as a medical discharge.

Transition out is a time of radical change for both Defence members and their families, from employment to relocation, loss of purpose and friendships, change in family dynamics, dealing with medical discharge or conditions, it can be a daunting time for them.

RSL Bribie Island Sub Branch has access to professional staff and trained volunteers who provide practical support for discharging members and their families, in particular those discharged on medical grounds.
